Southern Brewers Festival
The 22nd Annual Chattanooga Southern Brewers Festival will be held August 20th on the Chattanooga Riverfront. If you've been under a rock for the past 22 festivals, I'll explain why you should totally not be a square.
The Southern Brewer's Festival has been bringing people together for the love of good beer for over two decades. The festival itself runs from 2PM - Midnight and features around 120 different beers with various musical performances throughout the day.
The Brew Chatt Squad will be out and about at the festival tasting beers and talking to various breweries, as well as the bands. So be sure to come out and say "hey", if not to us, then at least to the festival.
I've attended the past several years, and it's always an event I'm excited about each year. Last year however was quite the day though. I remember I had a couple friends coming from Nashville to visit for the festival, and I had awoken that morning with a beast of a hangover. Word of advice, don't drink the bar dry the night before a beer festival. So I sulked around all morning not sure if I needed to eat, vomit, drink, piss, etc.... to little avail. Finally my compatriots arrive, and to my extreme surprise, they were just as hungover as I. We told ourselves that we had to rally, we could not miss this festival. A few gallons of water later, we were at the festival, and am I glad we went. The beers were on point, the music was phenomenal, and to top it off... It poured down rain at the end of the night. Which could sound like an inconvenience, but the beers kept pouring and the music kept playing. All as hundreds of patrons danced away a hot Chattanooga night.
